General Gene Renuart USAF (Ret.), Chairman and CEO of the Indiana Innovation Institute, participated in an event in January 2018 at Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane which hosted General David Goldfein, the highest ranking officer in the Air Force and a member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
Also in attendance were U.S. Senators Joe Donnelly and Todd Young, and Congressman Trey Hollingsworth (IN-09). During the visit to Crane, Donnelly, Young, Hollingsworth, and Goldfein, accompanied by Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane Commanding Officer Captain Mark Oesterreich, toured several labs on base and heard from both uniformed and civilian personnel whose work helps keep Americans safe and ensure our service members maintain a technological advantage over potential adversaries.
