Applied Research Institute Launches C-UAS Solutions Marketplace to Revolutionize Procurement of Counter Unmanned Aircraft Systems Technologies

Dec 20, 2023

INDIANAPOLIS, IND. — The launch of a new C-UAS Solutions Marketplace marks a groundbreaking milestone in the identification, assessment, procurement, and deployment of Counter Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS) technologies. This specialized digital environment opens the pathway for industry, academia, and individuals to easily engage the Government to showcase and promote their novel C-UAS technology solutions, and for the Government to easily and rapidly identify new and novel C-UAS technology and service solutions in a post-competitive acquisition environment.

The C-UAS Solutions Marketplace initiative is a collaborative partnership between One Nation Innovation Inc, the Applied Research Institute (ARI), and the Army’s Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS) Integrated Fires Rapid Capabilities Office (IFRCO). This innovative acquisition digital platform leverages the ARI (Applied Research Institute) Solutions Marketplace Model, which was piloted and proven under the Department of Defense Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office’s Tradewinds Program. The C-UAS Solutions Marketplace serves as the dedicated online environment for showcasing new and novel technology and service C-UAS solutions to the Government. The C-UAS Solutions Marketplace leverages the ARI Solutions Marketplace Model and processes to solicit, collect, assess, curate, market, and make available for purchase, C-UAS solutions to the Government, in a post-competitive digital environment.

“The C-UAS Solutions Marketplace is an acquisition innovation game changer for Department of Defense program offices,” said Scott Helmore, Chief Innovation Officer at One Nation Innovation. “Through this Marketplace, Program Managers have the opportunity to get ahead of the traditional acquisition process. PMs can now see the technology available across our Nation performing continuous technology scouting while having a procurement instrument in place that allows real-time procurement of emerging technologies and capabilities. We at One Nation Innovation are proud to facilitate such an innovative solution to create a whole of nation approach to one of our nation’s most critical national security areas, C-UAS.”

“The C-UAS Marketplace is not just a platform; it’s a catalyst for innovation,” said Dr. William Kiser, Executive Vice President for Science and Technology at ARI. “The Solutions Marketplace provides a dedicated space for innovative technologies that will transform the Department of Defense. This initiative is a testament to our commitment to driving excellence for the benefit of our warfighters and for national security.”

How It Works: The sponsoring C-UAS Program Office releases an Open Call for Solutions. Five-Minute Video Pitch Solutions are collected monthly from industry, academic, for-profit and not-for-profit entities, as well as individuals. These solutions are then assessed by a Peer Review Panel of Subject Matter Experts. Solutions which exhibit superior technical merit, high potential impact, and demonstrated value over current solutions to C-UAS specific problem sets are placed into the C-UAS Solutions Marketplace, ready for government customers to browse, communicate with providers, and negotiate follow-on activities, including awards.

The C-UAS Solutions Marketplace is set to play a pivotal role in advancing C-UAS technology and supporting the critical needs of government agencies in countering unmanned aerial threats. Learn more at
