Senior Vice President of Microelectronics & Advanced Technology Strategy

Brett Hamilton serves as Senior Vice President of Microelectronics & Advanced Technology Strategy at ARI. In this capacity, he develops strategies for improving regional technical capabilities, and for driving economic development through innovation. His work is heavily focused on accessing and developing the most advanced microelectronics and related technology possible.

Prior to joining ARI, Brett competed a 27-year career at the Department of Defense. Most recently, he served as Deputy Principal Director for Microelectronics in the Office of the Deputy Chief Technology Officer for Critical Technologies at the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense. Prior experience includes Distinguished Scientist for Microelectronics (SSTM), Chief Engineer for Trusted Microelectronics, and Senior Scientist at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane Division (Department of the U.S. Navy).

Throughout his career, Brett has helped bridge the gap between the commercial sector and the defense industrial base (DIB) and has led collaborative teams to develop a more secure and robust microelectronics supply chain for DoD weapons systems, critical national infrastructure, and consumer products. He has testified before the House Armed Services Subcommittee as a subject matter expert on issues relating to trusted and assured microelectronics, and has a broad network of partners including world-class commercial semiconductor foundries, fabless design companies, and multiple government agencies. Brett also serves as an Advisor for the America’s Frontier Fund.
