Leslie Wolfe
Executive Vice President, Finance and Operations
Leslie Wolfe, serves as the Executive Vice President, Finance and Operations for ARI (Applied Research Institute, Inc.). Wolfe joined ARI as Director of Business Operations. Wolfe previously owned El Lobo Management Solutions LLC (ELMS), a management services practice based in Kittanning, Penn. ELMS served small businesses and startups with administration and process improvement consulting, systems and operations research, and workforce development and training.
Wolfe also serves as an adjunct faculty member in business administration for Penn State New Kensington (PSNK) and Penn State’s World Campus, teaching courses in general Management, Career Management, Project Management and Supply Chain Management. In addition, she acts as a business coach and instructs community-based seminars in entrepreneurship, ideation, and small business/startup management at PSNK’s Corner LaunchBox accelerator. She received Penn State New Kensington’s 2015 Excellence in Teaching Award for part-time faculty.
Prior to starting ELMS, Wolfe served as Project Portfolio Manager for The Pennsylvania State University Electro-Optics Center, the Navy’s ManTech Center of Excellence in Electro-Optics. Wolfe was responsible for various aspects of university research administration with the Center, including: planning and financial management of the project portfolio, proposal coordination and submission, and office administration. In addition, she worked in the automotive components and electronics industries as a production planner, supervisor, and program manager.
Wolfe is also involved with several non-profit organizations in the Bloomington, Ind. area, including the Bloomington Elks Lodge #446 and the Bloomington Community Band.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and master’s degree in Project Management from Penn State University. She also received a Penn State Research Administrator certification.
